About Jay
In 2016, I hired a property manager for one of my rentals. He fixed the wrong dryer. He watched squirrels crawl into my attic during a showing — then drove away. I fired him two weeks later and founded Welcome Home Management.
Before real estate, I spent ten years in politics and eight in pharma. Two careers that taught me the same things: manage competing priorities, find solutions that work for everyone, and never make a promise you won't keep.
Since then, I've spent nearly a decade managing properties across Hamilton and Niagara, earning my broker's licence, and learning what investors actually need from a property manager. I write about what I see — without softening it.
